WRAP PARTY

Wrap party was a success.

Everyone was there. We all just drank, drank, and drank some more. I don't think there is anything else to say about that.

We also showed a quick teaser of the film while we were at it.

DAY FOUR

This was one of my favorite scenes to shoot, because of the crazy foot traffic received. We all met up in Insa Dong at around 6 in the morning. Filming started off at around 8. We were a lot more prepared for this day. But then again because we were reshooting 3 extra scenes we were really screwed with time.

The free hug was great, random tourists thought our extras were the big stars so they started to ask if they could take pictures. It was random. After we wrapped up in Insa Dong, we carried a light crew and headed back over to Chung Gye Chun, things were going worse than expected, there were way too many people, and a bunch of kids were making my life harder. I almost laid a smack down but I held on to my composure. We shot everything as quick as possible and we headed back over to Kwang Hwa Mun Plaza. By then the sun was already setting, and things were getting real dark.

Even though this day was as cold as all the other days, I think by this time everyone was already used to the cold.

We wrapped things up, and I must say our supper that night was probably one of the most silent suppers I have ever been in.

Everyone was getting exhausted.

DAY THREE

It was another cold day. Things were going along much better. Today we had to go to the Han River. It was definitely a beautiful day, but the night before it snowed like crazy so we were a bit worried because the other days didn't snow. We were a lot more prepared for this day more so than any other day. Everyone met up at the Han River at 7 in the morning. I was there around 6 to prepare for things. We had two new additions to our team.

Welcome to Sung Ho Park and Soo Suk Baek.

They did a kick ass job indeed. After we finished up at the Han River, we had to go to the other side of the river where Apku Jung is to shoot the final scene of the film. The sun was going down quick and we didn't have time. We eventually finished everything up and finished the day up at our favorite Sam Gyub Sal restaurant in Apku Jung.

Since the footage for the first and second day were so horrid, we also hired a steadicam operator. So after the dinner, I met up with the guy and went around the different locations we had to reshoot.

Because of the reshoot, we decided to add on an extra day to finish things off.

Things are going on quite well I must say.

Love,
Steve

DAY TWO

Day two of the shoot, and most of us were much more prepared, people were dressed up even more because the weather the day before was horrid. We met up at Kwang Hwa Mun plaza at 7 in the morning, started the day off with some coffee and sandwiches at the local coffee shop. The owner of the sandwich place (Sandpresso) was great enough to allow our crew to stay in the coffee shop throughout the entire day. We were very thankful. We ran into the same problems with the glidecam, that I had to think about a huge decision. The lighting was perfect, and the actors were much more prepared.

We had a couple of issues with the lenses but we ended up taking care of that quite quickly. It wasn't as cold as it was the day before but it was cold enough. The extras came by (thank you to Liz, her husband, and baby Luna). The day ended at Apku Jung where we gathered to eat a huge feast of Samgyubsal and a little bit of liquor.

Once I got home, I had to make the decision whether to reshoot the scenes that I was not happy with. It was a tough decision that I put off into the week.

DAY ONE

It was definitely one of the crazier days. I mean it's the first day blues, but we definitely did alright. According to the weather forecast, it was the coldest day in Korea. It was -17 degrees celsius. I don't think I have ever felt that cold in my life before.

So we arrived at Chung Gye Chun at 7 in the morning. We were supposed to be shooting starting at 8. The extras came on time (a big thank you to Ms. Lee, Peter Song of Creek and River, and Sunil Yoo). We had the biggest trouble with the glidecam and eventually we couldn't sit and wait around to fix this problem so we continued on doing all the stationary shots. The crew was kicking ass and the actors were waiting at the local coffee shop.

We ended the day at around 5pm, and we all headed over to Bennigan's we ate without speaking a word. And just like that it was the end of the first day. It was quite interesting but everything turned out to be alright. We were even more ready for the following day.
